A game unlike any other

In the past, MMOs connected people, you made friendships and even real romances. It seems that time is gone; today everything comes down to repetitive quests, empty instances, and a great void.

Lamentosa was born solving this central problem, placing the collective as something imperative. It's a purely text-based game, and therefore extremely complex in its PvP mechanics, economic strategy, and social relations.
It's a game where you need to read and understand nuances, talk daily with people to make necessary alliances, and of course, be competitive.

Why create a character here?

Vampire in Victorian attire

If you give Lamentosa a chance, within 30 days you'll feel again what you felt in the early days of MMORPGs—that sensation of being part of a community, actually building relationships, and improving your strategic skills.

You'll realize that with each new area, a world of possibilities opens up. And that the "simple game" is actually something much greater. Believe us, we have players who have been active in Lamentosa since 2016 and log into the game EVERY day.

A MMORPG of Conspiracies

You will transform into a Vampire or Werewolf, your caste will be your clan, and your clan your family.
After gaining experience in the game and when you feel confident, you can indeed create your own clan and recruit new members if you are not satisfied with the doctrine of your current caste, but keep in mind that you will inevitably face your former allies on the battlefield. Spoiler: Lamentosa players are extremely manipulative and territorial.

PvP is the Center of Everything

Being a text-based game, we managed to create a highly competitive PvP environment where build construction is very varied, which allows for different combined strategies. Players are always discovering a new build!

From level 10 onwards you must choose a Master and become their adept. The master functions as a class, and within the Lamentosa universe they work like "rock-paper-scissors", meaning a certain master is stronger against another and has its respective counter.

Perfect for those with limited time

Unlike other MMORPGs where you need to spend hours grinding, Lamentosa adopts a turn-based model with average intervals of 20 minutes. In other words, you'll perform some quick actions lasting just a few seconds like attacks (farming), then receive a 20-minute cooldown and can do other things in your real life, like work, study, cook, etc.
After the cooldown you're free to perform other actions and continue the cycle.

There are some moments in the game where total focus is required, such as in collective wars, dungeons, tournaments and bosses. In these moments you need to use poisoning and potion strategies, and stay alert to your team's "call". Regardless, all these events combined don't exceed 40 minutes per day of total focus. Which is quite reasonable.

Countless possibilities

Vampires conspiring

As your character reaches higher levels, a range of combinations opens up. You can, for example, visit the feared 7 regions and start unique quests and even find hidden masters
You can poison and sabotage other users at strategic moments, use the blacksmith to enhance your items or the sorceress to generate "elemental" damage. Combine potions for critical moments and manage collective strategies to dominate certain aspects of the collective game.

Lamentosa really is a game that makes you think, calculate and act with caution, both on the battlefield and in political relations. Always keep this in mind!
